Jessi Knox: Armenian Illustrator, Artisan, & Crafty Queer | Queernissage Profiles

Jessi Knox is an Armenian illustrator, artisan, and self proclaimed crafty queer. Knox grew up in Huntington not surrounded by many Armenians outside of her immediate family. As she grew up, she wanted to embrace her Armenian culture more and more.

Her grandma instilled a sense of responsibility in her to continue talking about Armenian culture in order to keep the heritage alive. Knox explains how being proud to be Armenian is a great feeling and she encourages others that they are always “Armenian enough”.

Jessi Knox looks to create the intersection between the Armenian community and queer community. She believes that everyone should celebrate their culture however they feel comfortable and proud.
