The Armenian National Football Team is on the road to Latvia to play one of their three remaining games in the UEFA European Championship qualifiers. 

The Armenian team defeated Latvia in Yerevan last June, thanks to a penalty kick goal in the fading minutes from Tigran Barseghyan. 

There is still a chance Armenia can qualify for their first ever Euro Cup, which takes place in Germany next year. 

In September, Armenia traveled to Turkey and stole a 1-1 draw, before dropping a much-needed point against powerhouse Croatia a few days later when they lost 1-0 in Yerevan. 

Sitting in third place, Armenia must win away at last-place Latvia with a convincing goal differential to push ahead of Turkey in the standings, who plays first-place Croatia on Thursday. 

The first and second place teams automatically qualify for the Euro Championship tournament, while the third place team competes in sudden-death playoffs amongst the other third-place teams.
