Nyree Der Megerdichian is a 19-year-old soccer player on Armenia’s National Football team. Nyree’s life is a duality; as she works and studies in Los Angeles while representing her homeland on the soccer field in Yerevan and Europe.

“Women in sports in Armenia is not the most common thing. It’s mostly men who participate. Just being a part of this next chapter in Armenian Women’s sports is so humbling. I’m so excited to be a part of it.”

At 19 years old, Nyree is one of the youngest players on her team. She is dedicated to always excelling on the field and serves as an inspiration to the communities she represents both home and abroad.
